Wall Street Panorama.
This is a 370 degree view (N, S, E, and West all in the same image) of the Wall Street area of lower Manhattan. It includes the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Building, Federal Hall (where George Washington took his oath of office), Trinity Church, and many other bank buildings. This photo was shot from the top of my van shortly after noon on a weekday. This shot is virtually impossible to reshoot today because nearly all traffic into this area of NY is prohibited. Since September 11th stricter security measures have been enacted. This photo was taken using an antique, rotating camera called a #10 Cirkut camera. It exposed a negative 10 inches tall and up to 6 feet long. Contact prints were then made from the negative. No one uses this camera any more and no one prints traditionally as these prints were printed. Purchase both of our Wall Street images and receive a nice discount on the price of the second image.
